Regional and Sectoral Economic Studies

Regional and Sectoral Economic Studies, RSES, is a journal published by the Euro-American Association of Economic Development Studies, focused to analyze economic development and employment in Europe, North America, Latin America and other areas, at regional and/or production sector level. Comparative studies of the evolution of several regions are particularly welcome, although the journal also publishes interesting articles related with the evolution of one particular region or economic sector. The Editorial Board is particularly interested in the publication of studies related to the role of education, scientific research, industry, tourism, trade and social services on regional economic development and encourages the submission of empirical contributions related with these subjects. The main language of the journal is English although a few articles may be published in other Euro-American languages. Regional Science and Urban Economics

Regional Science and Urban Economics exists to facilitate and encourage high quality scholarship on important theoretical and empirical issues in urban and regional research. Given a rapidly changing field, the Journal's emphasis is on microeconomic analyses of spatial phenomena. The Journal solicits original research contributions in spatial economics, economic geography, and related disciplines. The editors encourage the submission of theoretical and empirical contributions related to market organization in space, housing and labor markets, transportation, and local public economies.

Regional Science Policy & Practice (RSPP) is the official policy and practitioner orientated journal of the Regional Science Association International. It is an international journal that publishes high quality papers in applied regional science that explore policy and practice issues in regional and local development. It welcomes papers from a range of academic disciplines and practitioners including planning, public policy, geography, economics and environmental science and related fields. Papers should address the interface between academic debates and policy development and application. RSPP provides an opportunity for academics and policy makers to develop a dialogue to identify and explore many of the challenges facing local and regional economies. The journal is published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the RSAI.

The Review of Urban & Regional Development Studies (RURDS) is a semiannual, refereed journal published in English for the Applied Regional Science Conference in association with Tokyo International University and Showa Foundation for Economic Research. Articles in RURDS contain rigorous analysis and emphasize policy relevance and the operational aspects of academic disciplines, rather than primarily theoretical and methodological issues. The journal's readership is comprised of not only scholars but also planners, engineers and managers in government, business, and international agencies. Articles therefore focus on issues of immediate practical interest to those involved in policy formation and implementation.

Romanian Journal of Regional Science

Romanian Journal of Regional Science is the official journal of the Romanian Regional Science Association, which is one of the national sections of the European Regional Science Association (ERSA) in Central and Eastern Europe. It is an open-access on-line journal, edited in English and has two issues per year. Romanian Journal of Regional Science is indexed in RePEc-IDEAS and DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) databases. It is a peer-review academic publication intended for professors, researchers and young scientists interested in the study of various issues of regional science. Prof. Daniela L. Constantin is the Director, assisted by an editorial board (conducted by Prof. Zizi Goschin) and an international advisory board.

The journal encourages submissions of original papers containing theoretical, methodological and empirical studies that mainly approach development and planning problems of regional and related fields. Romanian Journal of Regional Science is devoted to the multidisciplinary study of regional issues and presents interest not only for the economists but also for geographers, sociologists, planners, environmentalists, policy makers and practice professionals in general. The emphasis is on fundamental, long-term problems and possible solutions, rigorous techniques of analysis in the context of growing political importance that is deeply related to regional development. In this manner the journal provides a very useful insight into the regional issues in Romania, Central and Eastern Europe and all over the world, proving its utility by sustaining ideas and information exchange across various academic disciplines connected to the field.

The Review of Regional Studies is the official journal of the Southern Regional Science Association (SRSA). It is a strictly online journal that publishes three issues annually (Summer, Fall, and Winter). You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Coverage includes factors affecting regional productivity growth (industry and occupation diversity and agglomeration); investigations into the extent and natures of urban and regional hierarchies; issues concerning segregation, discrimination, and poverty; the effectiveness of rural and urban economic development policies; analyses of interregional migration and regional labor markets; innovative applications of spatial econometrics, spatial statistics, and geographical information systems; subnational public finance concerns; topics in real estate and housing; factors affecting the intensity of transportation mode choice and land use; new approaches to analyze interindustry analysis and estimate interregional trade, and fresh perspectives on analyses of the environment and the development of natural resources. The editors welcome proposals for thematic issues. Recent special issues have focused on Rural Health in the U.S., Regional Development in China, and Issues in Rural and Regional Development. Subscriptions for individuals are a service of membership to the SRSA, which is $50 per year for regular members and $20 per year for students enrolled in programs of study related to regional science. Library and other institutional subscriptions remain $60 per year.
