An International Journal of Theoretical Geography
First in its
specialty area and one of the most frequently cited publications in geography, Geographical
Analysis has, since 1969, presented significant advances in geographical
theory, model building, and quantitative methods to geographers and scholars in
a wide spectrum of related fields. Traditionally, mathematical and
nonmathematical articulations of geographical theory, and statements and
discussions of the analytic paradigm are published in the journal. Spatial data
analyses and spatial econometrics and statistics are strongly represented.

International Regional Science Review

International Regional
Science Review
The
International Regional Science Review is a refereed journal published by Sage.
Regional Science began in the 1950s as a multidisciplinary effort to strengthen
the regional and spatial aspects of theoretical and quantitative research in
the social sciences - particularly economics, geography, and demography - and
to improve the analytical foundations of urban and regional planning. Since
then regional scientists have developed methods and theoretical frameworks
specifically designed for spatial analysis. The journal focuses on issues of
theory, method, and public policy where the spatial or regional dimension is
central.
Investigaciones Regionales
The
Spanish Regional Science Association (AECR) has launched a new journal on
regional analysis and policy: Investigaciones Regionales. It is conceived as a
forum to publish qualified contributions on territorial problems, mainly within
the Spanish and Latin America.
The issues' content is divided into four
sections. The first and second include the contributions selected for
publication as articles and notes. The third section (Debates and Policy)
contains papers dealing with recent evolution and professional positions of a
relevant topic or controversial regional matter. The final section includes
book reviews. The text will be normally published in Spanish. Prof. Juan R.
Cuadrado is the Editor, assisted by an editorial board and a scientific
international council.
Papers submitted to the Journal for publication
will be reviewed by two external referees. Contributions related to territory
(regional and urban aspects, transport, environment, territorial planning,
regional and local financing, sustainability, etc.) will be welcome. Research
carried out on geographical, economic, political, sociological fields, etc.
will have room in the journal, according to the interdisciplinary nature of
Regional Science. More details and instructions for authors can be found at:

Journal of Economic Geography
The Journal of Economic Geography has been founded with the goal to redefine and reinvigorate the intersection between economics and geography, to catalyze the 'meeting of minds' between the disciplines urged by The Economist, and to provide a world-class core journal in the field for the new millennium. Published on a quarterly basis, the journal is steered by a distinguished Editorial team and Editorial Board drawn equally from the two disciplines. It seeks to publish original academic research and discussion of the highest scholarly standard in the field of 'economic geography' broadly defined. Submitted papers are refereed, and evaluated on the basis of their creativity, quality of scholarship, and contribution to advancing understanding of the geographic nature of economic systems and global economic change.

Journal
of Urban Economics

empirical, theoretical, positive, and normative approaches to urban economics.
The journal also features brief notes that contain new information, provide

Location Science
The primary focus of this journal is on research directed to extending and applying the theory and modeling of location decisions. The journal also publishes papers which address the underlying processes related to locational decisions, the determination of parameters associated with location problems, and issues of implementation. The submission of papers which apply locational constructs to non-locational problems is encouraged. In addition, the journal occasionally publishes articles reporting on specific applications of location modeling, as well as invited literature reviews and perspectives. These latter articles include, but are not limited to, recommendations for future research, analysis of failures in past research and historical overviews. Due to the complexity, strategic importance, and widespread application of location analysis, it has attracted the interest of researchers from many academic disciplines. These include economics, engineering, geography, logistics, marketing, mathematics, management information systems, operations research, regional science and planning, among others. It is intended that the journal will be representative of the various academic disciplines involved in location analysis. An important goal of the journal is to encourage interdisciplinary communication and research.
