Subject to final funding confirmation, this full time post is available from 1 June 2019 to 25 February 2022 with the potential to a permanent lectureship at the end of the contract (subject to performance) and is part of our recently funded Lifelong Inclusive Growth in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (LINCoS) project involving the University of Exeter, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership, Age UK (Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly) and disAbility Cornwall. It is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and forms part of the European Strategic Investment Framework for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (LINCoS) project.

LINCoS is a new research and innovation project aimed at supporting the growth of the eHealth and eWellbeing small and medium enterprise (SME) sector in Cornwall through the identification and support for products, processes and services that will improved the recruitment, retention and workplace opportunities of older, disabled and chronically ill workers. This is a partnership project involving the University of Exeter, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership, Age UK (Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly) and disAbility Cornwall.

LINCoS is supported by funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and as such business support and engagement is fundamental to the delivery of the project and a key aspect of all posts within it. In addition, funding has also been received from the South West Academic Health Science Network.

The Project, and this post are based at the internationally regarded, European Centre for Environment and Human Health in the College of Medicine and Health in Truro and with the UEBS Circular Economy team on our Penryn Campus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced applicant to fill this role, which is key to the successful delivery of this project, with the potential to become a permanent lecturer post at the end of the contract (subject to performance).

You will:
- Undertake literature reviews and reviews of policy, map and visualise the system(s), sub-systems and networks of interest.
- Work with large data sets, analyse, synthesise and communicate findings to diverse audiences, and create toolkits.
- This requires a combination of quantitative analysis and soft system modelling tools (e.g. rich picture visualisation), interviewing skills and an appreciation of case study research, and an ability to work with stakeholders.
- Be expected to attend and run workshops with SMEs and other relevant participants.
- Participate in “in residence” and other collaborations with local businesses, and with other Knowledge Exchange support.
