TOURISM INFORMATION

Quito, Ecuador’s capital, is a city filled with history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. A great way to start your journey is by taking the TelefériQo, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city from 3,945 meters above sea level. The Church of the Society of Jesus (La Compañía) is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, with its dazzling gold-leaf interior. Nearby, the Mitad del Mundo Monument and Intiñan Solar Museum allow visitors to stand on the equator and experience unique gravitational experiments.
For relaxation, the Papallacta Hot Springs, located 65 km from Quito, offer natural thermal baths with healing properties. History lovers should visit the Basílica del Voto Nacional, a neo-Gothic church with stunning city views, and the Capilla del Hombre Museum, dedicated to Oswaldo Guayasamín’s powerful artworks. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the Mindo Cloud Forest, famous for its rich biodiversity and adventure activities.
Other must-see attractions include the Metropolitan Cathedral of Quito, the Yaku Water Museum, and the Botanical Garden, showcasing Ecuador’s diverse flora. The Vivarium features exotic reptiles, while the Alberto Mena Caamaño Museum offers a glimpse into Quito’s colonial past. Whether exploring history or nature, Quito promises an unforgettable experience.
From Quito you can enter the great megadiversity that characterizes Ecuador, expressed in its 4 worlds: the Pacific Coast, the Highland region with its Avenue of the Volcanoes - named after the expeditionary Humboldt-, the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands, unique in the world, narrating, live and direct, the theory of evolution of Charles Darwin.
