Senior Lecturer (closing: 18 February 2019), School of Geographical Sciences, University of Bristol

The School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol wishes to appoint a talented and motivated scholar to the position of Senior Lecturer or Reader in Quantitative Human Geography. The successful candidate will join the Quantitative Spatial Science Research Group, bringing expertise in the development, application and teaching of geographical data analysis and/or the statistical modelling of large and complex datasets ...in substantive areas of quantitative social science.

These will include areas of urban, social, medical, political and/or economic geography, all broadly defined.

Applicants will have an international reputation for research commensurate with the level of appointment, a background in geography or a cognate discipline, and be driven by a curiosity to develop, to apply and to teach innovative methods of spatial and statistical analysis to understand the causes and outcomes of spatial processes and their impacts on society.
