Call for papers for RSPP Special Issue “Challenges and Opportunities for Regional Development”


Dear Colleagues,
The methodological quality, the policy relevance and scientific novelty of the papers in presented on the 15th European Union Regional Economics Applications Laboratory (EU REAL) Workshop, in Palermo (Sicily) in September 3-4, 2018, created the challenge to publish a special issue on the journal Regional Science Policy and Practice (Regional Science Policy & Practice - RSPP).


This special issue wishes to analyse, with sound methods, the elements that explain the inequalities of labour markets, the relations between migration and welfare, the challenges of regional sustainability, the winners and losers of urban agglomeration, the dynamics of tourism and the responsibility of governance on regional development.

The papers will be selected by the 10th of October 2018 should be submitted to the regular review process of the journal until December the 15th 2018. With a regular review process it is expected that the papers will be publish on the 3rd Issue of 2019.
